How RAYUP Co., Ltd. handles personal information on its website.
This is an English translation of our Japanese Privacy Policy, except for the following parts, which apply to this English site only: the second paragraph of "Information we collect", "How long we keep your information" and "For residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom". For all other parts, if there is any difference between the two versions, the Japanese version prevails.
RAYUP Co., Ltd. ("we", "us" or "our") sets out below how we handle personal information on this website (rayup.jp, the "Website").
We collect information such as your company name, name, email address, phone number and the content of your inquiry through our contact form, business dealings and the exchange of business cards. When you browse the Website, we may also collect information about how you use it, such as the pages you view and the site that referred you.
Our English contact form also asks for details you choose to enter, such as your industry, target markets, timeline and budget. If you request a call, it asks for your preferred dates and times, and fills in your time zone automatically from your browser settings.
We use the personal information we collect only for the following purposes:
We do not provide personal information to third parties except with your consent or where required by law.
We may entrust the handling of personal information to external service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes above. In that case, we supervise them as necessary and appropriate.
We take necessary and appropriate measures to prevent personal information from being leaked, lost or damaged. We use services provided by businesses in the United States to deliver the Website and to send emails, and we handle personal information appropriately, taking into account the personal information protection system of the United States.
We use web analytics to understand how the Website is used and to improve it. The information collected is statistical and does not identify any individual. To prevent fraudulent submissions through our contact form, we also use Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. (United States). When you submit the form, your browser information and IP address are used to determine whether the submission was made by a machine.
If you ask us to disclose, correct, stop using or delete your personal information, we will confirm your identity and respond promptly in accordance with the law.
Information you send through our contact form is not saved in a database on the Website. It is sent to our mailbox by email through our email delivery service, so copies remain in our mailbox and in the sending history of that service. We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry and for the other purposes above, and then delete it.
If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we use your personal information to respond to your inquiry and to take steps you request before entering into a contract with us, and for our legitimate interests in running and protecting our business, such as preventing fraudulent submissions. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
You have the right to access, correct and delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive your information in a portable format. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in the country where you live or work. To make a request or ask a question about your personal information, please contact us at [email protected]. We will confirm your identity and respond promptly.
For questions about this policy or the handling of personal information, or to make a request for disclosure or similar, please use our contact form.
